INTRODUCTION

FGH Agritech Co Ltd is a Private Limited Company Registered under the Tanzanian companies Act of 2002 with Certificate of incorporation No: 147872453 dated December 22, 2020 to carry out agricultural related business like Crop farming, Livestock Farming, Aquaculture, Trading of agriculture products, Agro processing and other agriculture related business. The company started operations in this year 2020 when it became officially registered under Tanzanian Companies Act. Located at Kibamba, Ubungo Municipality in Dar es Salaam with production Units located at Muleba District, Kagera Region where the company owns 1,000 acres.
The company is owned and managed by Tanzanians who are committed to contribute to the country’s sustainable socio cultural economic development through utilization of modern technology to transform and modernize the agricultural sector through modern farming and agro-processing. FGH Co Ltd is managing diverse farming and livestock projects impacting the lives of millions, and is committed to providing people with new opportunities.
FGH decided to Invest in Kagera Region among other reasons, is due to strategically location - Kagera is directly bordering three countries: Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda. Kenya can also be directly reached through Lake Victoria. Similarly, Kagera region is a gateway to South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Kagera occupies the northwestern corner of Tanzania. The regional capital is Bukoba, which is about 1,400 kilometres (870 mi) from Dar es Salaam by road. The region shares borders with Uganda to the north, Rwanda and Burundi to the west, the region of Kigoma to the south, and the region of Geita to the east. The region is known for its agriculture, its beautiful lush landscapes, and its wildlife. The Kagera River forms the region's border with Rwanda. Kagera Region lies just south of the equator, between 1°00' and 2°45' south latitudes. Longitudinally, it lies between 30°25' and 32°40' east of Greenwich. Out of the region's total area of 40,838 square kilometres (15,768 sq. mi), 11,885 square kilometres (4,589 sq. mi) is covered by the waters of Lake Victoria, Lake Ikimba, Lake Burigi, and the Ngono and Kagera rivers. The region's total area is just 446 square kilometres (172 sq. mi) less than that of Switzerland. Kagera is Tanzania's fifteenth-largest region and accounts for approximately 3.3 percent of Tanzania's total land area of 885,800 square kilometres (342,000 sq. mi). It has reasonably fertile old soils. The Company is also preserving natural forests around the company farms which are be used for beehives.

OUR OBJECTIVES

To ensure that the country produces enough avocado fruits, fish, beef, honey using cost effective means through use of modern farming technologies, irrigation for increased productivity. Prioritize the development of agro-processing industry and value chain development activities which covers food loss and waste for meeting consumption demand and storing the excess as reserve. Furthermore, it envisions that the increased stale food demand in Africa, particularly the East and Southern Africa will create a market opportunity, which needs to be considered as serious investment.


Specific Objectives

  1. To double the production and productivity of avocado in the lake zone through commercial farming by 2025.

  2. To establish avocado oil processing plant by 2021.

  3. To establish beekeeping and honey processing plant by 2024.

  4. To integrate 10,000 smallholders into commercial Markets by 2023.

  5. To establish fish farming using modern technology of caging in the offshore of Lake Victoria at Chato area by 2024.

  6. To establish animal feeds processing plant by 2024.

  7. To establish modern livestock farming for cattle and beef production by 2021.

  8. To establish modern abattoir by 2025.
